KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Sept. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — On September 5, 2025, the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism introduced its “Journey of Civilization Light” online exhibition at MATTA FAIR 2025 in Malaysia to expand its cultural and tourism presence across Southeast Asia.
As one of the region’s largest and most influential international travel exhibitions, MATTA FAIR drew a broad cross-section of industry professionals and visitors from around the world. The online exhibition used interactive digital tools to present Henan’s role as a cradle of Chinese heritage, together with its historical artifacts and natural landscapes. Through the immersive “cloud tour,” the platform provides Malaysian audiences with convenient virtual access to Henan’s cultural assets. On-site interactive booths saw strong participation, increasing awareness and interest in the “Hometown Henan” brand throughout Malaysia and neighboring markets.
This promotional campaign introduced “Henan, Where China Began”, an initiative highlighting Henan as the birthplace of Chinese civilization, in the Malaysian market, further encouraged interest in Henan’s cultural tourism offerings among Southeast Asian travelers. The digital platform is emerging as an important mechanism for supporting sustainable inbound visitation and strengthening cultural exchange between China and Malaysia.
