BEIJING, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On October 22, participants in the Beijing–Linz Joint Hackathon: City of the Future visited the “Spiritual Land: Future World of Inspiration” immersive light and art exhibition at BOE Yiyun Digital Art Center in Beijing.
The study tour explored how digital technologies and AI are transforming artistic expression and bringing cultural heritage to life. The exhibition features 16 immersive and interactive installations, offering inspiration for the hackathon’s three themes: future cities, cultural twins, and digital entertainment.
As part of the 2026 Design Marathon, the 48-hour hackathon brings together interdisciplinary student teams from China and abroad to create digital works, including animations, interactive art, and game maps.
Supported by the International Centre for Creativity and Sustainable Development under the auspices of UNESCO (ICCSD), the initiative encourages young creators to combine technological innovation with cultural exploration.
