On August 22, the first “Asian Cities Green and Low-Carbon Development Exchange Conference,” co-hosted by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Qianhai Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Qianhai, Shenzhen.

The conference brought together leading enterprises and institutions from Japan, Singapore, Sweden, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Qianhai, all of whom engaged in exploring new paths for green low-carbon technology cooperation and high-quality development. Mr. Luo Xiaomin, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Liu Guilin, Deputy Director and Party Leadership Group Member of the Authority of Qianhai,Shenzhen, attended the event with other senior representatives. During the conference, both parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement and officially launched the “Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Greater Bay Area Digital Low-Carbon Operation Center.”

During the event, representatives from the Qianhai Authority, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in China, the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of the Hong Kong SAR, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd. delivered speeches. Mr. Kenichi Miyazawa, Director of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd., emphasized that the Group will maintain a long-term focus on its “Zero Carbon Program” and continue to contribute actively to global sustainable development.

In the technical sharing session, experts from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioning presented on topics such as aquifer thermal energy storage and comparative studies of regional cooling systems in China and Japan. Additionally, experts from Qianhai Energy, Chengdu Lingzhong Hi-Tech Investment Company and other regional enterprises shared insights on regional cooling, smart energy, and zero-carbon communities—offering diverse ideas and practical case studies for the advancement of green energy in Asia.

The conference also featured a roundtable forum, where representatives of enterprises, experts, and scholars from multiple countries and regions engaged in in-depth discussions on the challenges and innovations in regional energy development.
